Artists' Submission Guidelines
  • Artwork should have an interracial theme. (Both serious and lighthearted considered)

  • Offensive material will not be considered.

  • Designers/Illustrators should submit 2-3 samples that are representative of his/her artwork. Reproductions can be photocopies, photos,
    computer images, etc. Computer images should be submitted in *.eps or *.tif format. If artist has a website to be viewed with artwork,
    please indicate.

    Please submit the following themes according to the calendar:
    January through March: Mother's Day and Father's Day
    May through August: Thanksgiving and Christmas
    October through December: Valentine's Day
    Year Round: Wedding/Anniversary, New Baby, Love, Thinking of You, Encouragement

  • Include the following information with all submissions: name, address, phone, fax (if possible), and email. Each submission should be
    accompanied by a brief cover letter. The letter should be addressed to Michelle Emerson, and briefly indicate what you are submitting.
    The cover letter should be no longer than a short paragraph. You should also include a S.A.S.E. if you want your unused material
    returned. Make sure your envelope is large enough to hold your submission and be sure it's stamped with the proper amount of postage.

  • Melting Pot Gifts buys all rights to accepted ideas.

  • Artists are welcome to submit ideas for both our paper cards and e-cards. However, since we provide e-cards as a free service to
    visitors of our site, we only provide monetary compensation for artwork for our paper cards. If an artist submits work for an e-card, we are
    happy to provide a link from our site to the artist's site.

  • If your design is chosen we will contact you within 8-12 weeks. Unfortunately, we cannot give updates on the status of any particular
    submission. Therefore, if after 12 weeks, you do not hear from us, it is safe to assume that we were not able to use your submission at
    present.

    IF IDEA IS SELECTED, ARTIST WILL RECEIVE:

    Payment of $100 per idea.
    Name credit (Artist's name will be printed on the card).
    Three greeting cards.
